Thought it about time I got some sun on my old bones so went onto Travelsupermarket and found a good deal In Turkey.
By the time I called my mate and told him to pack his mankini and go online it had gone up by £60 !!!!
Then when we clicked on the hotel to book, it went up another £12 each ????

My guess is they monitor the cookies and think............"Right, that's Delboy interested. Up the prices."

General / ANYONE IN THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY ??
« on: 11 May 2016, 12:41:11 pm »
Hi, thought I would plumb the bottomless depths of Foccer resources.

Basically, I recently took an all-inclusive holiday with Easyjet but the return coach transfer, for which I paid extra, did not arrive.

We had no option but to fork out £45 for a taxi to the airport or miss our flights.

Now I have contacted Sleasyjet and after much procrastination they have denied responsibility and compensation.

Now old Delboy doesn't give up that easy, sleasy, so who should I now contact????

« on: 15 August 2015, 10:57:33 am »
Reading another feed got me thinking, what's the best and most appropriate nickname you ever heard?

I had a friend who was bald, very short sighted and a bit of a c**t, therefore BBC

Another who was always called GRAVY because he went with anything.

At school I was known universally as BUS because apparently the back of my head resembled one?

General / Best mobile deal?
« on: 15 April 2015, 11:59:08 am »
Just had another row with my service provider, Vodafone.
Basically I negotiated a reasonable deal with them last year but notice they have been billing me too much   :eek

Got me wondering, who has the best deal?????

I have the phone (Galaxy Ace), 300 minutes, 500 texts and 1.25GB data allowance for £ 9.50/mth incl. VAT.

Now excluding those of you who may work for a service provider or get one free in your job, can anyone beat that?

Oh and BTW the very nice lady I just spoke to in S.Africa has agreed this deal AND sent me a credit of £14 to cover the incorrect bills. :D

May work on a bike if the suction cap fixes to the inside of a fairing or maybe even the tank? (Not sure about voltage?)

First time I used mine I filmed a young girl drive straight through a red light !!!!

General / Off topic.................FREEVIEW PROBS
« on: 29 January 2015, 12:11:12 pm »
I just KNOW some clever bod on here can help?

Been using Freeview for about 4 years. Great and free, no probs.

Then recently I noticed that around 8.45-9.30 every night the picture would frequently break up at intervals of about two minutes.

I have a signal booster on a loft aerial and also tried a 4G filter which reduced it a bit but the problem persists.

So...................who can I sue ????

Oh God, here we go again.

It seems that essential requirements for unmitigated success are, spiky hair and face stubble, silly shoes, an excess of high fives and an almost total disregard for real abilities.    :groan

« on: 17 September 2014, 12:35:59 pm »
I know this is in the wrong section but I can't find the old Geeks corner??

I recently bought a nice cheapy PC game for my laptop to see me through the long winter nights.
Its called " HARD RESET" but when I try to play it after loading I get the following message...............

................"the procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll"

Now I consider myself reasonable au fait with computers but this has me focced.

Any suggestions, is it fixable????

General / PENSION QUESTION
« on: 02 August 2014, 11:39:44 am »
Hello oh great Oracle.

I know this is nothing to do with bikes but I tried Googling and could not get an answer as edifying as I would expect from FOCCERS.

Q.  I have just started claiming my state pension. When asked about my marital status I declared "Single, never married" as I didn't want the hassle of the ex getting involved and anyway have been divorced since 1989 so feel it has FOC-ALL to do with her.

So if I tell the taxman is it likely to beneficially affect my payments or just entangle me in in form filling and resurrecting long buried acrimonious settlements?????

The benefit of your collective wisdom would be much appreciated  :eek :'(

General / PENSION CREDITS
« on: 17 March 2014, 11:39:19 am »
YES!

I really am that old now, or will be in just 4 months.

I went on the GOV.UK website today and, by being a little "conservative" on my declared savings, found I may be able to claim an enhanced pension on retirement.

Now of course my question is.....................

Should I be Mr. Honest Joe Muggins and tell HMRC exactly how much I have worked hard for and saved all my life?

or

Should I be Mr. Average and "forget" some of my assets to claim Pension Credits?????

The dilemma is that if I do, can they catch me  :rolleyes ........................ if I don't, will I regret it???? :'(

BTW.   If you work for HMRC disregard this post as my account has obviously been hacked.
