Tiny filter in carbs

I couldn’t find any posts regarding this filter!
I found it in the fuel intake on the carbs, I’ve only just discovered it after twenty odd years
It had some crud in it! Not a lot, but enough perhaps to cause issues.

Yes, it is often forgotten when cleaning carbs. The other important filters to be cleaned are the two in the equalisation of vacuum at the tops of the diaphragms. Yamaha are the only one I have seen that use filters here. Blocked ones cause a slow return to idle or to be sluggish on acceleration. Two on the 600 and one on the 1000

Thanks for the info, I’ll check them tomorrow, she is a bit slow to return to idle.👍
