Speedo is bollixed
« on: 06 September 2013, 04:35:46 am »
Hi guys,

Bought my FZS600 a month ago knowing the Speedo was broke but thinking it was the drive gear/rotor gear. I replaced that, as it was broken, and it still isn't working.

I'm now thinking it's the part on the wire itself, but can't be sure. Anyone got any idea's on how to test what the problem is? It's getting annoying seeing the revs go all lovely but seeing the speedo needle sit at 0 :/

I hope you guys can help.

Rgds,
Gavin.

I would've thought you'd have got an error code on the rev counter if the speedo was knackered?
Is there a chance the new speed sensor could've been fitted incorrectly and the lugs have snapped again, 'cos that is very possible too?

Only real suggestion is to try someone else's known working unit... they are expensive to buy new (£100+) so when mine went I hunted on eBay for Fazers being broken down and managed to get one for £20
