Yes - the paint was wiped off just after I took the pic!

The bars are renthal lows - its just the clocks being low down that makes them look high!

Still got to do some thing with the seat - I like the look of Geordis streetfighter seat

Satin black all the way!

the bracket that mounts it uses the handle mounting bolts so yes you do have to remove the grab handle

FZS600 Fazer / Re: riding position
« on: 13 July 2013, 07:03:21 am »
I agree with joeRock . you don't want to be more upright you need to lean forward a bit more.
I'm 6'4" and also have a knackered back , I fitted rental low bars and found the riding position less pressure on my lower back .
Stock bars are also quite narrow which seems to have a negative effect on the back is you are broad shouldered.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: 1999 Fazer 600 surging power
« on: 07 July 2013, 08:46:49 pm »
sounds like an   air/fuel mix problem ,take the airfilter out and go for a run and if it gets worse its a fuel issue - as some one said probable a kinked fuel pipe but if it improves its the air filter restricting the airflow too much .

Golly gosh Simon are you still here?

I would have thought that your personal dynamic risk assessment would have told you that the safest thing to do in this situation was ..........

........ to get the fuck out of here before the bear eats you !

General / Re: Wanted standard 1000 rear shock
« on: 01 July 2013, 09:05:43 pm »
I did the mod using a thou shock and a 600 spring on my 600 - a vast improvement which gives me lots of adjustment and Im "larger than the average bear"

Yes its not going to turn it into an R1 - but its never going to be a sports bike but it does improve the rear

Recently got a Caberg duke flip front .

I am very pleased with it as it is light, has a drop down sun visor , comes with a fitted pinlock visor , works well with coms/ headphones and also gets a good sharps rating.

Fitted a thou rear shock to my 600 after swapping the springs over, not yet given it a ride to try it out to decide how to set it up.
