Sounds like the beginnings of a proper group ride in Wales...? :)
If I make a mess, it probably won't be done by halves - you'd better bring a big broom!

Sounds like a good show nick, glad you enjoyed it

Just as well i wasnt there in my little put put 600 trying to keep up with blades & r1's.i think youll find my riding a bit more leisurely :)

Im well jealous though!!!!

I had a sunday dinner out, then i walked the dog, then i cut the grass :\

Nogster, if my restricted 600 can keep up with Exupballsack and Kosmic on LoFos, I'm sure yours can too! The 600s corner bloody well, and their top end isn't far off the Thous. And the Thous rarely (if ever) max out on a ride.

Morning all !!! , Well lads , we don't ride fast

Especially when your rear tyre is like this

No we just ride the bends at fun speed, as with Noggy, the speed today was a couple out front tagging onto a couple of fast bikes.I probably would of but i kept it down once i had seen my tyre givving up. It was spoiled on the way to and back from Italy, motorway miles, wore the middle down,on Saturday night i noticed it was cracking in the middle ,so i decided to go on the ride ,the rule was fast on the sidewalls and slow on the centre of the tyre..and all was well.

Although it was fast on the bends :lol . I had onboard a camera so i will see if i can get some movie on here.

Oh and Noggy,,that breakfast,,hell it went fast as Nick said,,couldnt get a picture

That tyre is proper focced!!! :eek

This sounds great with London foccers maybe even making a Royal visit, the more the merrier Red, the twisty roads from Rhayader to Aberyswyth really remind me of the nice scottish roads, big sweeping corners with good road surface.

Question to Slim - when we did Llandovery to Rhayader we took a small detour on a smaller road, it had great twisties, i think it's where the bloke on another group came off on the corner at the armco, can you let me know what road that is please?, when i get the bike built up im gonna go for a spin on that route on my tod to get back in the flow & check everything is working ok, including my bonce :)

Cheers

Yes , we did that yesterday,i was cautious on that armco bend, lol

The lads enjoyed that road lots, i filmed the whole ride yesterday, some from the front and some from the rear, the camera makes it all look a bit slow and calm,, which will be good if the hammm, law is watching,, have some editing to do, seem to have crossed a few white lines, lol, passing dead sheep of course.

Not another tyre thread?!! Yep, the steel one in the middle!  :rollin  Way to go Bill!
Can't wait to see the camera footage, I'm not surprised it makes things look slower - a warning to all who try to judge culpability on crash vids! It ain't the same as being there. (excuses, excuses!)

It's a tricky one this.i'd say my normal running speed is reasonably quick & eventually if i stick to this pace i become comfortable & smooth & gradually i can increase the speed in small increments & keep smooth...if i have to jump up to chase someone i soon come out of my comfort zone & it becomes less enjoyable, after a few corners ill usually recognise this & back off a little.

I did it in scotland following the old man when he upped the ante the sly old dog, so i backed off & would soon catch up anyway but i still kept the fun factor. It sounds like slim nick & co did exactly this & im up for that type of riding. With a large enough bunch of foccers we could still end up with a few different packs but all end up at the stops at roughly the same time plus stop too much bunching up. 8)

Nice one Bill, so those cameras do the trick then without costing the earth.

It was interesting to see just how much your swing arm was working on those roads.
