Hello from the Highlands
« on: 27 January 2022, 12:21:32 pm »
Hi to all,

Just a quick note to say Hi as I am a brand new member. Just waiting on a 2005 Fazer 1000 to be shipped up to the quite cold Highlands of Scotland. Looking forward to owning my first 1000cc bike.

Had a Fazer 600 Mk1 for last summer.

Previous Bikes

NS125RK, NSR250 MC18, VFR400 NC21, CBR600FY, Bandit 600 MK1, ZX6rJ1, ZZR600E6, Fazer 600 and Now the Fazer 1000 :)

Can't wait to get back on two wheels.

Welcome to the site. You certainly live in the right area to enjoy your bike (when the weather is kind).

Welcome.  :)

OK, that sums up our quota for the Highlands members.

Hiya, do you get many speed cameras in the Highlands? Bloody South Coast is infested with em
*Disclaimer*
Nothing I say should in any way be taken as a good idea 😄

You definitely get plenty the moment you cross the border into Scotland going up the east coast. Did a round trip to the Isle of Skye a few months ago - up the east and back down the west - and was shocked by the warm yellow welcome. It is a beautiful drive and there's no need to be doing crazy speeds but I did thank my speed camera app for saving me a few quid.
