Thank you very much I went out in my pj's and slippers believe it or not lol. It was worth pinning my eyes open at work the next day I think. I'm hoping for some more lightning tomorrow morning, but I think it may pass me by here in Essex. My tripod is by the door just in case!

My cars mot runs out on 20th July. I had it mot'd on Friday. It needed a fair amount of work, brakes etc, which I was getting done all at the same time.
It failed as my windscreen washer jet had packed up. Fair enough. The mot tester then tells me, if he cannot get it working, the car will fail, and I will have no mot. I reply, it's ok, it doesn't run out til 20/7. He then tells me that will not valid! If I get pnc checked by the police, my car would be flagged up as an mot failure and if I had an accident, it would be doubtful I had valid insurance!
I was always under the impression that your old ticket still stood, but apparently this is a very grey area. I checked with another garage and they told me there was no definitive answer, and that it was very risky territory!!
So, if you not early, be aware that if it fails, your old ticket may, or may not be valid!! What a farce!

You have skills, I'm sure you'll find something. What about contacting your tourist board and seeing if they need tour guides around your local town? Good luck

£140 and we have a deal, seeing as I can't bear to watch a grown man cry! I was told not to go below £150, so you're getting a bargain

Ever heard the phrase 'All the gear no idea' (That's me lol) or 'You can't make a silk purse from a pigs ear' I think it's more having a good 'seeing eye'. Yes, good gear helps, but some of the best photos can be taken on iphones or entry level dslrs I think this comp has proved that, there's been some stunners

It's not the camera that takes the pics, it's who's holding it and what they do with it

Steve, build him a run! Problem solved My tortoise is in the garden all year round, he digs himself under the shed when he hibernates, and wanders around the garden as he pleases. He could dig out if he wanted, but I think he likes where he is
