Hi Tubz, might also be worth chcking forum for previous posts about re-wiring so both bulbs come on for low beam, I upgraded my bulbs but made little difference, the standard box eye beam pattern doesn't lend well to seeing in the dark 😮 imo.

FZS600 Fazer / Speedo Help.
« on: 05 April 2016, 07:54:07 pm »
Hi,

I'm in the process of turning my fzs600 naked (long story but mainly the fact neither of us could see anything at night and didn't fancy hid option). Slowly getting there but struggling with Speedo options. The original won't go back on, too big bulky and uncovered on the back. Has anyone got an aftermarket dial with odo, warning lights Inc fuel and signal indicators?
I have included current wip 📷.

Hi, does anyone have a rad guard for 2002 fzs600. Consider anything in decent condition.

Also after a tailtidy of such a thing exists .

Thanks

P.s, hope I have posted on right forum!

FZS600 Fazer / Re: LED headlight conversion for FZS600 2001

Ok all options being considered. I picked up an h4 xenon plus bulb, recommended by guy in local bike shop. Going to try that and reconfigure main beam so both lights come on initially. I took bike out at night ok Saturday, fortunately I followed wife in car as it was bloody scary when I lost her beam! Talk about candle in the wind!

sorry,

the link is here,

I think your are correct re the claimed output.

Your link took me to your posts, like the beam pattern, certainly improvement.

In theory then I could wire both standard headlamps to come on ( i have the seen the conversion somewhere on here) and then wire spotlights on for main beam.  the trouble living in the countryside is i will be on dipped beam most of the time for oncoming and need the added "firepower" :D  for normal driving

FZS600 Fazer / LED headlight conversion for FZS600 2001
« on: 07 October 2015, 11:35:15 am »
Hi new to foc ( this is my third time trying to post as my laptop is running me a merry dance  :eek )

I am about to purchase a 2001 fzs 600 2 owner nice example and very standard.  I will be using on a lot of country roads and in low light.  I have seen the comments on other conversations re poor headlamp.

I am thinking of options.

1 is to convert to a bug eye lamp (remove the boxeye(?) fairing and go street triple style) i suppose a streetfighter fzs600 thing.

my other thought was to consider led headlamps.  I have seen the below lamps as a starting point, and should i be able to find a suitable mounting location would be quite tempted, however my concern is the power rating at 125w each.  does anyone have any ideas/thoughts on if this would be suitable or better still a recommendation to assist in any way.

Thanks in advance.
