Last weekend before I have to shell out on the insurance for all three of my bikes damnit. If it doesn't go this weekend I'll keep it and enjoy it after the sting from the insurance wears off. I've no intention of dropping it any further but £2,000 seems like a good price.

£2,200

Not during my ownership no.

5
It was 33,350 at the MOT a couple of weeks ago so just the dozen or so miles riding it home.

6
Price drop ahead of the weekend.

£2,300

Site won't load my photos. They're small enough and only four of them.

Any ideas?

In the meantime I can email photos if you PM me.

I bought this as a bigger, comfier version of the Fazer 600 I’d had previously but as you all know it's much more of a hooligan than the lazy old sofa I’d expected. There’s no reason you couldn’t potter about on it or go touring but it invites you (or me at least) to misbehave most of the time. A lovely bike but having ridden fewer than 2.5k miles over the last 3yrs it’s time for it to go. It’s got all the usual tweaks – fully Ivanized, 4degree ignition advance, Nitron rear shock, braided hoses, Scorpion exhaust, MRA adjustable screen. It’s been garaged during my ownership. It has the original toolkit and a new Motobatt battery and the Michelin Pilot Road 4 tyres have about 1,500 miles on them. Givi Monokey top-plate and pannier carriers and as-new V46 Top Box (not pictured) included. The digital gear indicator used to work and probably would again it someone could locate the other DIN plug it’s dangling cable is intended to mate with. Having become disconnected I assume it’s somewhere under the tank but I haven’t been able to ferret it out. The only other bad point I can think of is the sticky residue from the inch-high black tape that was presumably stopping jacket zips from scratching the tank where it meets the seat. I shouldn’t have tried to take it off but I’ll leave the next owner to either clean it up or cover it with a tank protector. Bought from this forum in 2005 as was my much-missed FZS600. Bike is in Swansea.

Happened to see a Fzs1000 at the lights at Szell Kalman Ter in Budapest yesterday. Did a double take as it could easily have been my new one bought a couple of weeks ago back in blighty.

For Sale: FZS600 Boxeye '01. 65k miles. In great condition: £795

I'm indebted to the forum member I bought this from (apage16) last year. There's a lovely build thread that gives you an idea of the care and affection that's been lavished on the old gal (try searching on "Polly"). I've had a wonderful time on her but I'm going to try a younger litre FZS that I've agreed to buy from another forum member so (slightly tearfully) she has to go.

These details are from the original "Polly" ad, amended where necessary :-

Full MOT today. Expires 28th August 2016 (passed with flying colours, no advisories).
65,000 Miles, but starts on the button EVERY time with no choke. Has consistently given me 50-60 MPG in ALL conditions.
17 / 46 Gearing for Smoother cruising and better Fuel Economy. (Still pulls like a TRAIN!)
K & N Air filter.
Carbon Fibre effect vinyl wrapped bodywork (looks VERY cool in the sun!).
Carbon Effect Rear Hugger.
Renntech Engine Bars.
Renthal 756 Handlebars.
Heated Grips.
Dark tint, Tall Touring Screen (Ermax, I think).
FZ1 Mirrors (you can ACTUALLY see behind you!)
Givi Luggage rack (with the original Renntech rack if wanted).
Fork Mounted Spotlight (with Osram Nighbreakers)
Custom Seat with textured fabric. Great for stopping you sliding around.
Under seat Power point with 2x USB sockets.

Original Yamaha End Can in Immaculate condition.

Since buying her in Sept '14 she's had a full service at a Yamaha main dealer (Alf England nr Coventry in March - £545.41 including new tyres, rear wheel wheel bearings, plugs etc, new clutch lever and rear brake pads). I've cleaned the front calipers thinking I'd replace the pads at the same time (Ferodo HH sintered) but they had most of their life left so the 4 EBC pads I'd bought will come with the bike ready for whenever they need changing.
Can't think what else - I'm bound to have missed something. Just ask.

She's a credit to apage16 and as she'd spent some of her life commuting across Europe I thought I'd continue that tradition by taking her to Budapest and back at Easter (via Bruges, Ghent, Dusseldorf, Vienna and Bratislava to see a fabulous new woman) - she didn't even bat an eyelid bless her.

I'm in Daventry and the price reflects my need to make some room in the garage for her replacement.

*sniff*

I've got Andy's old bike "Polly" now and she's a dream. The lights are absolutely superb!
