EXUP and pipes GEN1 and GEN2 compatability
« on: 02 March 2012, 10:20:42 am »
Firstly, sorry to start another thread on EXUP valves.

Whilst talking to a friend about EXUP valves he mentioned he has a spare (complete exhuatst actually) from an 06 Fazer, which he thinks is a fuel injected one (sounds right to me).

Would the EXUP valve from the Gen2 pipe fit my 02 Gen1?
Would the downpipes fit my Gen1?
Any other parts work stealing for the Gen1 from a Gen2 pipe?

Searched the 'net for info but all I can find for the EXUP valve is that they work differently (It seems the Gen1 has the EXUP for more power and the Gen2 for sound reasons, there is one reference that the EXUP valve is the same and the solenoid is different (but that is just from a bulletin board!).

Thanks in advance.

I doubt very much wither the pipes of the G2 would fit the G1, and regarding the Ex valve I dont know as never seen a g2 valve in the flesh - Falcon might know...

Thanks chaps - thought it was too good to be true that they were interchangable when the offer was made!
