Handy to see what's coming your way or roughly how long the current rain is going to last.

Edited so the link works  :)

I've paid for the premium version because it gives you better definition and a forecast of where the rain is likely to be over the next couple of hours which is very handy for planning routes to avoid it :thumbup

What's wrong with the met office?: http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/beta/

All there including surface pressure charts and it's free!

Their Android app is pretty good too.

I have a foolproof weather guide method:

Open door
Go Outside
Am I wet?
Yes - it's raining
No - it's not raining

Free of charge and you can update your software every day at no cost (by this I mean change your pants)

What's wrong with the met office?:

It doesn't give you the rainfall predictions as accurately and as far ahead as the Rain Today site does.

Used the met site for years. Surprisingly good:

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/#?tab=fiveDay

With all sorts of different charts, updated at least two-hourly.

It does for where I live. Enter your location and the rainfall radar will show in large scale and offer predictions for several hours ahead. I've watched the rain come in over the hills* at the same time as the radar showed it. Spot on.

I would guess that site just uses the Met Office data anyway - can't imagine it has it's own radar stations set up.

"Will it rain?" The site checks your IP address and if it's a UK one it says:

"Of course it will, you're in the UK, what did you expect?!   :)

I work on the theory that if the rains cold its winter if the rains warm its summer.

The Met Office site only gives an hour-by-hour breakdown, the Premium version of the Rain Today one breaks that down to five minutes sections which can be much more useful.
