You say you've rounded it off? Do you know to what extent, have you got a pic or two of it? Maybe give us a better idea.
left hand drill bit and some screw extractors...OR can you get at it from the other side i.e. the shaft and twist that?Or can you get some needle nose pliers in there with some rubber for grip?

Was thinking about that gadget earlier.They're 24mm in diameter though,not sure if itwould fit in the gap without measuring it?
