If you want the truth, ask the foccers!
Went to book a b&b on airbnb (never used it before) and it wont let me book without me confirming my ID with a photo of my passport and no doubt more questions about who I am.
Simple question really, Is it safe ???
Myself and a work colleague are currently walking the Wales Coast Path and we have used Airbnb loads of times. They will need to verify your identity as you will be staying in people's houses. Many times a key has just been left somewhere for us so the owner will want to know who is using their house while they are not there. Perfectly safe site though.

Fitted my some Oxford L.E.D turn signals today. After much pissing about with resistors and stupid Yamaha connections I finally got them working but then to my dismay realised they don't fit without some kind of spacer/blanking plate? I've used the stock bases for now but looks awful. The back will need something similar too, Does anyone know what I'm looking for?
Yep. You need these. I bought these for my 2008 Gen 2 a couple of years ago. Got mine from M&P's though, not this American site and they were cheaper. Maybe contact Oxford direct and find out where your local dealer is. https://www.motosport.com/oxford-indicator-spacers?mmy=yamaha%3Bfzs1000%3B2008&mmy_source=pdp

Asking for a mate as I passed my bike test 25 years ago up in Nottingham!! mate interested in getting a bike, he's 38ish and now looking at getting a bike, he's got car licence so what does he have to do to get a full bike licence? any one recommend a training school in Portsmouth / Gosport area?
If he has ridden bikes before then he would be best off going straight for the Direct Access Scheme (DAS) Course. Not cheap though but only 3 or 4 days and he gets a full licence (if he passes his test of course). If he hasn't ridden bikes before then he would need to consider some form of training and and then going the CBT etc. route. I am one of the lucky ones. I passed my test in 1978 when the examiner stood on a corner with a clipboard and watched you go around the block.

I'd never heard of ordering drinks like that That's cheating!.
I'd never heard of it either until last Saturday. I was in a local Weatherspoons and the Barmaids were walking around with trays of drinks. I asked a mate of mine what they were doing and he told me that you could order your drinks online and have them brought to you.

has fz1 sticlers and side markers on forks and tail otherwise same as uk model
Ah yes, forgot about the FZ1 decals instead of "Fazer". It didn't have the side markers on the forks and tail though so maybe the previous owner removed them.

Its likely to also have self cancelling indicators. and maybe one of those fuel evaporation systems that feeds any unburnt fuel vapour into a canister, which is then burnt off when the engine fires. and maybe doesnt have a flasher switch for the headlight too
Don't know about the fuel evaporation system but it definitely didn't have self cancelling indicators. Don't think it had a flasher switch on the headlights either which is no bad thing as it is always misinterpreted by idiots in this country who don't know the highway code. I never use mine for that very reason.

I had a yellow and black Gen 1 US Import in 2003. Lovely colour scheme. Much deeper yellow than the EU model. The only difference was that you couldn't turn the headlights off as they are compulsory in the US. I asked my local Yamaha dealer, who has always done all my servicing, about headlight alignment and he told me that modern motorcycle headlights all point more or less straight ahead and don't noticeably dip to the left or right like car headlights. He was right because it always went through mot's no problem.

So what about when you order luggage, bike parts etc ? The seller still has your personal details and knows you've got a bike. Maybe you shouldn't be buying anything online if you're that paranoid.

Don't think you'll get anyone to part with that information on an open forum.

If i remember rightly, Iron Maidens "Bring Your Daughter...To The Slaughter" was around Xmas 1990
Yes at number 3. Shame it didn't get to number 1 lol
Think it did the week after, but no bugger would play it on the radio or barely even mention it. I remember it because a week or two before my brother was at their concert and they told the crowd they were gonna try for the Xmas number 1 record. They released it on Xmas Eve.
Yep. Just checked my Guinness book of hit singles and it got to No.1 on 5th January 1991.

Some of the shittest music known to man has been produced for the season and even stuff I liked when it first came out is now unlistenable. Who the foc wants to hear Slade’s “Merry Christmas Everybody” for the 30,000th time? Or Wizzard? But turn the radio or TV on and soon enough I’ll be hurling whatever is to hand at it in an effort to silence Mariah Carey or Bing Crosby or Paul foccing McCartney as fast as possible.
I used to like it when a really Un-Christmassy song made it to number one for Christmas (in the days when the charts actually meant something).
Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick In The Wall' was just perfect
Ah yes... Non Christmassy No.1 songs............... Bohemian Rhapsody, Ernie (The fastest milkman in the west), Long haired lover from Liverpool............... And who could forget...................Mr Blobby....??

Bonneville and Daytona are very very different to each other, and the Fazer. Bonneville a low powered upright naked. Daytona an out and out sportsbike. Fazer is an excellent mixture of the two styles. I would very much suggest derestricting the Fazer first and see if you like the extra power. Give it a few months, then decide. BTW I've also got 2 Triumphs and they are nice :-)
Hopefully someday I'll be able to try both out, for now I'll see how I like the fazer once it's derestricted. Any aftermarket seats you can suggest? The stock gets really uncomfortable on longer distance runs.
Speak to Digger. He'll sort your seat out for you. http://www.diggerseats.co.uk/Home.html

Tea bags that are as weak as p*ss and taste less, and it doesn't seem to matter which brand you buy or how much you pay. Yes I do know how to make a good cuppa first thing I learnt as an apprentice brickie.
We love strong tea in our house and only use Marks & Spencer Extra Strong Tea Bags. A bit more expensive than other tea bags at £5 for 240 but well worth the extra.

Got a Black Friday internet deal on the XRS12's £121.60 as opposed to £159.99. Happy with that.
I was at the NEC on Thursday looking for some Kriega luggage. The bloke running the Kriega stand was more interested in texting than he was in me. I asked about show deals and he ignored me so I walked away. I bought the Kriega luggage I was after on Friday. Black Friday deal at MCA Leicester was £130 instead of £182 and free delivery too.
