Redex and vpower
« on: 04 September 2023, 07:08:53 pm »
This is the second time I have put Redex and vpower in and it makes my bike run rough at high rpm and makes it very vibey

It goes away once it’s all ran through and re fill with just vpower and no Redex anyone else had this issue ?

Never been a fan of Redex, only stuff I'll use maybe once a year is STP Complete Fuel System Cleaner.

If you're using 99 RON fuel regularly though you shouldn't really need to use it anyway?

V Power still has Ethanol in it. If you haven't tried it before ESSO Supreme 99 has zero Ethanol in it.
They have to put an E5 sticker on the pump, but it actually means "up to 5%", it's a legal thing.

Don't forget the 0% ethanol at Esso is only in certain counties, not nationwide. From memory Hampshire, Sussex,Kent,Surrey,Essex are ok maybe Devon but not Cornwall. A definitive list was posted quite a while back.

I guess that also covers all pumps for them then by displaying "up to 5%" (E5)

Looking on the Esso website, it more or less states that from this month there will be added Ethanol at all pumps for the Supreme 99.  :thumbdown

Update on this the Redex has ran through I have re filled with some more vpower and it’s back to smooth buttery sailing

Very strange though as the bike was struggling to start and very very vibey  it was dreadful at high reva s had no power and just vibrated more violently

This is the second time this has happened, I’m binning the Redex
