What's in your garden.................
« on: 11 July 2012, 07:02:57 pm »
In the last 24 hours I have seen a beautiful reddy brown fox who appears as soon as I put out even a crust of bread, a little field mouse who skittered about snatching little morsels left by Mrs Fox. Pipistrelles hoovering up insects above the fir trees, wood pigeons, robins and even parakeets.

Then just now I saw something swoop across the lawn and when I looked a sparrowhawk with the most luminous yellow eyes was perched one legged on my fence.
I used to not give a foc, then I discovered Red Bull and now I don't give a flying foc !!!

Regular visits from a friendly gull, I'd like to think it's one of the ones I've rescued over the years but it probably isn't, we've named him Steven. (Steven Segull -geddit?)

Weeds - and loads of them. But that's all part of my 'back to nature' strategy.

Right now, there's a pair of goldfinches out there, twittering away - probably saying 'thank you for not chopping down the 5 foot high dandelions and thistles'.

Got home a bit late for wildlife spotting.
I certainly didn't spot the large snail my boot discovered as I walked up the garden path. :lol

All the usual stuff you get living in a lane plus I keep seeing a Green Woodpecker which is quiet a large bird, it's so colourful at first I thought it was some sort of parrot!

Had a female blackbird in the garden this morning. Fortunately it was not Grace Jones on a hula hoop.
I used to not give a foc, then I discovered Red Bull and now I don't give a flying foc !!!
