Why, who cares?
« on: 18 May 2012, 08:21:05 pm »
When I've put a bit of time and thought into my contribution to add to the comments of others, I press POST, and it comes back telling me that whilst I was typing, someone else has added a comment. WHY? Yes, I just may want to revise mine, but had I pressed post a little earlier, I wouldnt have been able to. WHY too, does it delete the comment I'm wanting to post, so that I have to start all over again? I just can't be bothered!

Sounds as though you don't quite 'get it' The system may give you an alert just to try to avoid a misinterpretation born of posts out of synch. Doesn't delete your proposed response though as far as I can ascertain anyway.

Yes it should be warning you but not losing your intended reply. What browser do you use?

In your profile, under 'Look and Layout Preferences' there's an option: 'Do not warn on new replies made while posting' which you could tick to disable this feature.
