Hi Fazer lovers, just thought i would share these pics with you, i purchased a Brand New Fazer 8 about 7 weeks ago now and have been busy adding accessories, i hope you like! :D
-
Thats one smart looking machine-really like the Akrapovic can! You will be the" Brummie King of Bling." I was fortunate when I bought the Gen 1 thou as it came with a selection box of goodies fitted @ previous owners expense! Only extras Ive had to fit(so far) a Renntec rack & an Acumen Digigear indicator as I cant count past 4 in my old brain. :lol

hi simon
forgot to mension, with the tail tidy, i took out the main bar as well, if you go to the linked website and look the part up, it shows a long extended piece, i just took that out so it bought the number plate right up under the back, much better there, as you say, standard one does stick out way too far out the back

Ta for that, £84 though, all the Yammi gear is expensive isn't it? Off to Snetterton tomorrow as the suns shining :)

Mmm nice, where did you get the rear seat cowl from. How did you do the lights so both come on ?
-
Hi there, i got all my parts for my bike from here http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/accessories/index.aspx?productCode=FZ8-SA&redirect=false (http://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/accessories/index.aspx?productCode=FZ8-SA&redirect=false), and my headlight mod was done at streetbike in halesowen birmingham, i think basicly they wired into the other headlight, they said the main beam light has a dipped on it that isnt used so they just wired it in so it is used, had no problems at all with over heating, all works great, hope that helps!
-
Many thanks, a great help.
Keep safe,
Sean

Loving the gold ASV leavers, ill be getting some of those bad boys for my matt grey 13 plate fazer8, how does the can sound? I want something LOUD and the carbon Akropovich looks mint but I havent heard it.
-
Hi JDal
the acrobpvik sounds great, if you are local to selly oak birmingham you can come and hear it, got 145mph out the bike a couple of months ago, i think that was top end as well, but was at least 1.5 stone heavier then, so should try it again, may get it closer to 150 now lol, the levers are great, better than the standard ones, also had the suspension re vamped now, but i guess you dont have to do that for yours if you have a new one, they changed the main shock on the new mondels, beefed it up a bit, i kept bottoming mine out lol
anyway safe riding lol

Im not to far away as it goes, Leicestershire / Ashby, and have the odd run to bassetts pole. Got my Fazer8 from the Yamaha dealer at Tamworth.
-
cool dont go to bassetts pole, too busy lol, but often in street bike at mucklose hill, you could always message us on here, and if weather is fine, could arrange to meet up somewhere for a coffee
-
I work in Quinton from time to time and pop into Street bike to have a mooch round on my lunch. Small world.
Were the ASV leavers easy to fit? Im a mechanical luddite but they don't look to hard on you tube?? :\
-
Piece of piss mate, realy easy to fit, took about 5 mins, message us if you are about and the weather is good, and we will meet up!
-
will do, just heard the Akrapovic exhaust on you tube, it sounds mint, really nice deep overrun. On my stock exhaust its really tinny when the excess fuel pops.
-
Got Akra on my FZ8 . Makes ne :) every time I open her up
-
Got a Mivv on my Fazer 8, sounds greeeaaattt. Tried it with the baffle out, way too noisey, but really nice with the baffle in. Loud, but not so that it would be too annoying :) .
-
Just a word of caution on the Gold ASV levers. They look superb when first fitted - and subsequently. However be prepared for them to fade in colour (the clutch more than the brake due to more use). They do have a 5 year guarantee but that does not cover colour fade which was a shock to me! After shelving out £160 for the pair two years ago it has left a nasty taste in mouth. The fading is actually quite dramatic!
Cheers.
-
I have had my ASV levers nearly 2 years now and mine look as new as the day i bought them, maybe you got a dodgy one :-(
-
Interesting. I will get back to my dealer for their comments then.
-
Levers replaced within 48 hours of return - no questions asked :D
-
That's good, glad you got them replaced
