Quick question, just been greasing the steering head bearings, I have taper ones , when I tighten the top stem nut it seems to tighten the bearings as the steering goes tight , is there a sequence ie tighten stem first or pinch bolts first.

Hi Tex,
Had a quick google and there's a site
www.dansmc.com
Dan's Motorcycle "Steering Bearings". There's quite a good explanation given.Hope this helps.
