Hi

I thought it was an MOT failure if the Clutch/brake lever or handlebars hit the fairing or the handlebars trapped your thumbs against the fuel tank.

Hi
I Posted these a while ago.
I have included the gear link extension info but you can just move the lever around the splines

Use the Fazer footrest bolts to hold the Brk's.
I used 8mm x 20mm cap head bolts to hold the footrests with a std washer between the Brk and the footest to give enough clearance for the head of Fazer bolts holding the Brk to the bike.

Hi

Under the new laws in France you cannot pinpoint an individual camera, so the new GPS speed camera databases are speed camera zones where a camera or cameras may be situated.

« on: 18 December 2012, 01:59:36 pm »
Hi

You can remove the 4 rubber bungs from the seat pan this drops it a bit, and then put two strips of tape along the frame to protect the paint.
You can also put two small spacers bettween the seat latch and the frame to lower the latch to compensate for the drop.

I’ve converted both sides to 35 Watt HID 4500 colour (white) with the optional relay harness for the dipping H4
Passed the MOT twice now no problems.

We have had the Tefal and the Phillips if you have the space the Tefal is the best.
If you choose the Tefal be carefull with the stirer / turner over thingie, I dropped ours and broke the end off (That'll be £30 + P&P thankyou)

Back in the days of my youth I had a BSA Rocket Goldstar. I stopped for some petrol, realized I was at the wrong pump tried to push the bike to the 5 star pump while standing on the right hand side of the bike (my wrong side for pushing).
The bike went away from me with me holding the throttle with both hands trying to save it; the inertia picked me off my feet and through me over the bike like a WWF wrestler.
In my jeans back pocket I had one of those solid aluminium hair combs, on impact it turned sideways in my pocket and everyone of the teeth was driven its full depth into backside.
The bike on its side I was in agony trying to pull out the comb and the people in the petrol station were pissing themselves laughing.

FZS600 Fazer / Re: Pillion foot pegs help please
« on: 31 August 2012, 07:01:42 pm »
Hi
Use the Fazer footrest hanger capscrews to hold the new brackets to the bike (heads are thinner see pic's) then std capscrews for the footrest hanger to bracket.
The 8mm bolt goes through the 10mm threaded captive nut on the exhaust can.

Hi

The wife was getting cramp on the pillion.
So I made some Rear Footrest Hangers that moved the footrests forward 50mm and down 50mm
you can get the 30mm x 5mm steel strip 1M long from the larger B&Q's

« on: 20 July 2012, 05:03:39 pm »
Hi

With the Ducati rearsets fitted have you pushed the bike off the centerstand.
I seem to recall the lever that you put your foot on when operating the centerstand with my mod fitted came quite close to the footrest
and the Ducati ones look a lot further back and may clash with the centerstand foot lever.

Hi
I toyed with this mod and I think the Thundercat clip-on bars will fit above the top yoke of the Fazer.
where the extra length of the fork leg protrudes though.

Hi
I used the back end of a 10 ML syringe body cut to the same length as the old bulb holder cut a slit down the one side to pass the wires.

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/70564722/H1.JPG

and used the grommet that was fitted to the H1 HID pushed into the modifed Fazer rubber light cover.
