I though that - you could never put the bike back still warm, the condensation would be running off the inside like a tap.

How many folk can get the car into a modern garage, usually full of other crap. Or how many people actually bother putting the car in the garage even if they can.

Some one mentioned condensation?? good point , there is a vent shown, how effective it would be ?? I suppose if you put a breathable bike cover over the bike as well may help or blanket. Has to be better than lying around on a Driveway. Being attached to the side of the house be easy enough to put some kind of a heater into it.

Which makes me think, why not just put the bike in the garage behind?  :think

That would last a couple of winters here.

Stick my car in the garage to work on it Lew, but then it was built around 1932, so you can get a car and a couple of bikes in it.  Full pitch roof, so hang pedal bikes from it and back 1/3rd floored for storage.

Only problem with garages is that they are bloody freezing!

Last a couple of winters? why it is galvanized steel also like everything else if it is maintained correctly it would last for years.
When I read the last post I thought the car was built in 1932  :) :) . Modern homes as a rule you would struggle to get a mini inside.
My last house in the UK I bought was bought for the very reason it had a very large double garage.

Well my galvanised garden bin rusted through in just three years.  Bought a plastic coal bunker, cos guess what the galvo ones rust through after a few years.

Around here - is the west coast of Scotland.  That thing wouldn't last long.
