good cheap grime and dirt cleaner?
« on: 18 June 2015, 06:02:24 pm »
Hello,

I am sick of paying a lot of money for expensive grime and dirt cleaners.

I have used in the past Castrol and it is good bike cleaner. Have read very good reviews about SDoc100. Have used plenty of WD40 for cleaning.

The problem with these is they are expenisve like hell and frankly I am sick of paying £5-£10 pounds for 500ml cleaner.

Any ideas for homemade or possibly cheap kitchen cleaner that will do the same job for lot less?

I will try soon oven foam cleaner have read very good reviews for using it to remove grime from car engines.

Here is my list to try, feel free to add any homemade ideas.

Note do not like idea of puring large ammounts of diesel fuel in the drains. If you have anything that is cheap and nature friendly that would be great.

I have a few spray bottles of "astonish" engine degreaser, it's £1 from B&m or home bargains etc works well enough but I find paraffin to be the best and cheapest. There is always gunk but last time I got some it didn't seem as cheap as it used to be...

I buy the pink cycle cleaner from poundland, only need to use a bit more than Muc0ff, but £1 a bottle.

I also buy maintenance spray from Eurocarparts, it's less than £3 a tin and works just as well as WD.

All in all im an utterly tight git [or I just like to keep the dosh for my trips to the continent].
