I looking at getting stuff powdercoated.... as other thread.
But i still need to use the bike while this is being done.

can the bike support its own weight of the can without the hanger?
is there a affter market hanger that looks good if i decide to lose the rear pegs?

do you plan on using the bike while bracket getting coated?if not then simply tie it up with string or similar but i wouldnt risk riding it without the bracket as you will put massive strain on rest of system and prob break a weld or worse!

yup gota keep useing it. was going to just get a 2nd hand one off ebay like i did with most of the other bits but just havent been able to find one cheap in the last couple of months.

i did try useing a bit of strap steel (the type that has lots of pre drilled holes in) but it didnt seem to add much support
