I have managed to source a shock for my bike, can anybody tell me what length bones are required to retain the standard ride height and what is the difference without them? TIA

Serviced the exup valve, which meant drilling out the old snapped bolts, tapping new threads and removing the cable ties that had been used to take up the slack in the cables instead of the perfectly good adjusters, I hate buying used bikes at times. I have had to do this on nearly every Yamaha I have bought, at least I've got it down to a couple of hours now.

Just wait till you try and clean it or polish it, it'll be covered in scratches, buy cheap buy twice in my experience with these screens.

Can you pm me a price for one please as I'll soon be venturing back into Fazer ownership and might well need an upgrade for the rear shock

If only you were interested in a 600 foxeye, I do miss my old srad at times!
Sorry, but it's another thou I'm after, nothing wrong with the 600's though (I put 40k on one) The Suzuki is an awesome bike, it makes all the right noises, does silly mph, pulls great wheelies and looks cool, I was planning on keeping it and buying a gen 1 thou for touring on but I can't afford 2 bikes right now.

A cheap 12v impact wrench can be had for £20ish and makes undoing bottom bolts an absolute doddle. Plenty on eBay and amazon

Me in the classifieds, down the other end of the A66, £1900 would get it

Jazoli your screen looks to be the same as the one I just took off. How tall are you?
The reason(s) I didn't like that one were the wind noise it caused which got painful at higher speeds, the fact that it caused watery eyes and then blew the tears onto the inside of my visor, and finally you could see the back of the clocks through it which doesn't look nice.
6ft, and yes you can see the back of the clocks, I haven't noticed wind noise as such but always wear ear plugs and listen to music, I may just spray the base with frosting spray to make it like the oem screen.

I've got Renthal 758's on and an unspecified DB screen and the bike is probably the comfiest I have ever had (I've had a lot of bikes) there is very little windblast or noise at all compared with the standard screen if anyone can identify it from the pics I'd be grateful as its cracked and I want another just like it

They're £30 delivered on eBay at the minute, they are not as ultra low as the name would suggest either

There's your problem, the cables are too tight, not too loose.
You should be able to deflect each cable about 1.5 - 2mm on its own. Yup this, slacken the adjusters off and I bet the code will go away

I removed the top fairing and radiator ends and repaired the damage done by the previous owner, a bit of plastex, primer, paint and laquer and they are now looking like new again.
Plus I removed the radiator/rad cover and fan and repainted them too as they were looking a bit scruffy.
Its taken all day to do but well worth the effort, should have taken some before and after pics.
