Hi, have moved this here so it'll get more exposure
Many foccers (including me) have been over and it's a nice trip. I went for 5 days and rode in a rough circle around just seeing how far I got to and taking a hotel room where I found one.
Basics: they use the Euro, speed limits and distances are in KM, their roads
were poor but much EU money has been spent so they should now be better quality, there's not much traffic, roads are easy to follow with a good map - the only time I got lost was in Northern Ireland, (aka 'The North'), the north of Ireland is quite far north and will be cold for a Plymouth boy
, when I went it rained 4 days out of 5.
The Ring of Kerry is famous for its roads and views. Dublin is beautiful (if you like cities) and well worth a few days if you have the time.
"...a while" - how long are you thinking of going for?
