My other big loves are riding my mountain bike (between 3,500 and 5,000 mile per year for the last 10 years - a lot more miles than I put on all of our motorbikes together
, but not competitively, or as part of a club), building stuff with wood and recycling/upcycling old stuff (chairs, sheds, stores, planters, fences etc) and flying a helicopter (as a private, not commercial, pilot).
None of them gives the same buzz as being on the bike on a lovely twisty mountain road, or a nice long flowing race track, but flying a helicopter close to the ground practicing sharp stops/tight turns is close.
