Title: Mirrors useless gen1
Post by: Stinka on 14 February 2019, 06:18:59 pm: all I can see is my shoulders ffs

Any mounts to move them out or mirror swaps ?

I saw some where cbr1000rr mirrors fit and they looked a bit wider ?

Don’t want bar end as they all seem to be that wide I’d have a nightmare filtering in traffic

Post by: fatbloke62 on 14 February 2019, 07:41:59 pm: I had the same issue , I went and got a set of mirrors off a fz1n and a Yamaha clutch perch with the threaded collar off flea bay and removed the standard mirrors and blanked off with some dome head bolts ,happy days :)

Just done this. Took 30 mins. Not been out yet but looks spot on sat on drive

Better than standard, not perfect but you do see more of the road behind.

Just as he says, they aren't perfect but are a good improvement.
Also means you keep the adjustability of the mirrors, which you lose if you do the "reverse" mod.

The rubber cover still stays on the mirror, the blocks lift the base of the mirror up about 1.5 inches, and the mirrors then sit on top of the blocks.
