I was able to go for my first proper run out on mine today, I have gone from impressed to absolutely gob smacked. This bike is astounding!!I have been used to my 650 Versys and cruisers over the last few years so I am used to stiring the pot to get some performance, what that equates to on the Fazer is seriously silly speeds when you think you are bimbling along. This is no bad thing but I will have to recalibrate my throttle response. That being said I did play with a Fireblade for a while and I was not embarrassed, which is a very nice change. But what makes it even better and proves what an all rounder it is, is riding through small villages at 30 and it is as smooth as you like.I am going to have to play with the suspension a bit because it is not to my taste, I like it hard on the front and a bit softer on the rear to suit my riding and it is the wrong way round at the moment. The seat is comfortable, I did an hour ride and I had no numbness, I reckon I could do a couple of hours more before I needed to have a walk around. All in all I am properly happy with the bike.
got a few miles in since i fitted the bellypan,,headed to county waterford,,,thats right folks my baby is back on the road ,finally got the bellypan on to finish the look. so now and only now am i happy to show your goodselves some pics none of this would be possible without all the help from unfazed if it wasnt for him id probably be still wandering around northern ireland a traumatized mumbling wreck taught me lots in the process of rebuilding it too "like watch for roundabouts" ,,like a pig in shit i am
Washed it and GT-85'd the engine and frame. Shiny bike How the hell do you get in to clean all the awkward spots at the front of the engine??? I've got toothbrushes, long-handled brushes etc etc up the yin-yang, and still can't get at it all Surely this bike has REALLY never seen rain before I got my hands on it. Would it be safe to jet wash the front down there if I keep it away from electrics etc? Or will that muller the black finish?
So lucky on the ride. no rain and 2 killed on the breacons only 3 hours after we passed through.
struck by lighning on the bikes ?? blimey thats awfull
oh walking on the mountains still SHOCKING though
