Just finished the new Pratchett novel, Snuff.
A lot better than Unseen Academicals, reckon it's only going to get better with the re-reads over the weekend too.
:thumbup

Well worth picking up folks.

I should probably stipulate, I'm getting the train, not riding.

wouldn't want to start a debate about reading pratchett whilst riding... :)

Much prefer reading Chaucer when I'm riding tbh.

Pterry (or, rather, his assistant, Rob) gave a sneak preview of this at the last Discworld Con.

I'm just waiting for the local library to call me and let me know that the copy I pre-booked has come in :)

I'll buy it when it comes out in paperback.

Hardbacks are ridiculously (and unjustifiably) expensive and they take up a hell of a lot more shelf space.

e-reader? oh yeah, one of those 'books' that cost £100, break if you drop them, useless if they fall in the bath, ruined if you sit on them, liable to get nicked if you leave them in your car, cant really be lent out to your mates, useless if the battery dies, and cost money to download to.

 :rollin

heres one luddite that will stick to reading books for free from the library, and if i drop it in the bath, it will cost me all of £7 to replace. Im all for technological advances, but I have yet to see a single reason for owning one of these.... except maybe its a portable library, but then I only ever read 1 book at a time so whats the point?

(and Snuff will be then next one I read :D )
