Looking to purchase a tail pack for long days in the saddle , big enough to carry puncture repair kit , small compressor and visor wipe , dont want nothing too bulky and one that easily straps to the saddle and simple to remove when parked up ...
been looking at the AUTOKICKER midi pack , quality and price look good , anyone got one or similar ?

Always used Oxford kit to be honest, the humpback tailpack looks well on the Gen 1.
Just remember though
, you can only fit a little bit of kit in a little bag.

Use the FZS600, theres enough space under the saddle for all that.

You had a chance to try this yet Paul? I’ve been looking at their panniers was waiting to see how you found the quality etc?

Tried it for the first time today , qualitys good and looks well made , went on a local bimble of about 100 ish miles on some nice fast twisties (A413
) didn't move an inch the whole trip , was pushing the mighty thou on the way home aswell
has two straps which go under the seat and thats it , simple buit it works , one thing i might change , where the straps are stiched to the sides , ithink it might be better if they are closer to the bottom of the bag .where they are now , in the middle , the sides of the bag collapse a little bit when the straps are tightened , makes It look a bit untidy , Iam a furniture maker by trade so might get the girls in the sowing dept to make a few changes..
apart from that iam happy with it , loaded it up with.....gloves , small compressor , puncture kit and visor wipe , fitted nicly without using the zipped expansion .....just have to get use to It being there when iam gettin on and off the bike
i'll get some piccies later in the week...
oh......just remembered , i had a small map in there aswell , nice chunky zips made quick map checks easy didn't even have to take my gloves off
......didn't stop me getting lost though

I took the plunge and went for the autokicker panniers. Got them fitted today, they seem pretty well made for a budget set.

Down side with soft luggage , security , I cant lock it on the bike , bag is very handy carrying compressor puncture repair kit etc , but out with a few other foccers tomorrow , margate meltdown , and no doubt we shall park the bikes up and go for a stroll down the prom , bag and kit probably amounts to £100 and takes 3/4 seconds to unclip and walk away , it has a carrying handle but I dont really want to lug it around with me ,ive managed to squeeze the repair kit , visor wipe and disc lock underneath the saddle , compressor will stay at home and I'll have to use the canisters if iam unlucky enough to get a puncture.....
not ideal , I have a top box which is secure but at 52 ltrs , big , heavy and ugly , great on a tour but not days out , so , I need a small compact , slim line, secure lockable box I can bolt / clip to my sports rack but it also needs to be easy to swap between the thou and 600
dose such a thing exist ?.....

Buy a pacsafe and put it over the tailpack if your parking up?
Never saw an off the shelf prevention. Padlocks on the zips etc are fair deterrents but as you say doesn’t stop some shyster from taking the full thing up the road

I was thinking more along the lines of this
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F392299912330
More of an as well as, rather than instead of.
