because www.irishphotorally.com

I hope to be doing it also, but having a bit of fun doing it. Might take in the Northern Ones around the NW200/UGP time

Give us a call in Cork and we will take you on a more interesting route to get to N, O, P and S.

It will only be a slight detour  :)

Is there someone coming with you or will you be on your own?

Put her up for sale, offered it to a mate first, hopefully he'll have it and save me the hassel of flogging it privately.

BBB top efort there the bike looks stunning. 8) ...i bet even though youve spent a shed load that you feel far more satusfied by bringing the old beast up to scratch rather than spending a whole lot more on another bike.

I want to replace my exhaust studs and collars too because its amazing how much better it makes everything look for such a simple thing.
Easiest way to go fast........don't buy a blue bike

Took the brakes off and cleaned the pistons. Lovely smooth brakes now. Gave it a thoroughly good wash too.

Cheers Noggy.....I'm getting there.....still a couple of weeks to go and I'm pretty sure she'll be all ready to go.....still Baltic up here and the gritters were out last night so no real rush.

The wife offered me a new bike for a milestone birthday recently, but after much deliberation I decided I couldn't part with her and decided to give the mighty Fazer Thou a few modifications and a good deep clean....I'll post up some pictures when all the work is done.

Had a new Rear ST Angel fitted to replace this one, will keep the old tyre. Will be interested to see inside of the old one to see how well the mushroom plug I did the repair with was fitted.
I will post a photo of the inside of the old one if anyone is curious ??

this is the mushroom plug I fitted to get me home, looks as if it was a good fix

Dropped it!!  :'( :'(
in petrol station after filling it up went to put air in tyres and slow speed spill.
foot was trapped between tank & seat so couldn't wriggle out. no damage to me (except pride) 2 blokes rushed over to help lift bike up for me.
broke LH rear indicator http://foc-u.co.uk/index.php?topic=16314.0 also I noticed a stud had snapped off.
pushed bike to the side and then walked roud looking up and down LH side trying to work out where this inch & half stud with thread at top end that had been tac welded should have been.. I had no idea!!
rode back to my digs put bike on centre stand & looked over it again, still no idea so i decided to look for indentical part on right side & there it was!! the stud off the bottom of the foot peg!!
now question,, what importance is this? do I really need it?
I noticed that my peg rubbers are starting to split but after 13 years I'm not surprised but do I need to replace foot pegs & rubbers or just rubbers?
It ain't what you ride, it's who you ride with!!!

Sorry to hear of your little "mating" atempt with your bike.
That stud is known as a "hero blob" or a leaning over indicator, the idea is that on sharp angled leaning around corners (not laying on its side !) that bit of metal will grind on the road either before your exhaust dose or you run out of tyre. Some people take them off when the constant grinding becomes a pest. So no you dont need them and they are cheep enough to buy.
But im not sure why you describe them a tac welded as it is just a short rod with a rounded end and a threaded end which gos into your footrest
I don't do rain or threat there of. dry rider only with no shame.

Thanks for update.. I think that a previous ower must have had problem with them unscrewing or vibrating out as there is a small blob tac weld on both sides (just lood at replacement pegs £10 from HK not bad deal for a pair!!)
