Hi from Oxfordshire
« on: 01 October 2012, 10:53:17 pm »
I'm now 24 and bikes are kind of in the family, I've just been a late bloomer. About a month ago I decided I was sick of my car being unreliable, so started researching into bikes again - I first did this about 5/6 years ago. So I decided I'd get a bike license and keep cycling to work until that was achieved (16 mile round trip, in the winter = not fun).

So I've done my theory, my CBT, my module 1, and in a week I have module 2. Yesterday I bought a 1999 Fazer 600, so I'm now joining the forum, so I can be a part of this madness and learn lots about the bike!

That's all summarised, I've spent many evenings poring over bike reviews, internet recommendations, and insurance comparison websites to find out what I could afford! I'll hopefully do the entire thing, CBT, DA, bike and insurance for about £2000 tops, and NOT have bought a complete shed!

Good luck with your Module 2 & congrats on your purchase. For every purpose real-world motorcycling the Fazer does it all! :lol

It's just a forum name I came up with years ago, it doesn't mean anything, and for the sake of consistency, I've stuck with it since! It's too much hard work to invent another one, and everyone across multiple forums knows me as this now!

Thanks, that's pretty much what I figured! It came with a top box too, which is obviously really useful, but makes me feel like an old man :p Too useful to turn down though, but I can't see it working well look-wise should I ever go down the street fighter route!
