Forgiveness is a very admirable trait, however I feel in this case you’ve not needed to forgive anything. Merely, on reflection, seeing my quip in a slightly more favourable light. Hopefully my coat is back on the hook :lol .

You certainly won’t need a coat at today’s party. Happy birthday :thumbup

Thanks - the wife asked me what did I want to do. Spent a couple of hours in the garage with the Fazer  :woot
Carbs are now off, ready to be stripped and cleaned. I was thinking about a jet kit, but work and the cash that comes with it are a bit scarce at the moment.

Shame you can’t do the Ivan’s mod, as you’ve done all the hard work getting the carbs off. You’ll be very pleased with the result if you can find find some dosh down the back of the settee. Even more so, as you’d have done it yourself. ........go on, you know it makes sense :) .

This isn't going back together anytime soon - in fact the carbs will be the last to go back on, so there is hope yet. Is there a UK dealer for Ivans stuff?

As far as I’m aware there is no UK distributor, and has to be ordered directly from Ivan’s Rockland County Motorcycles in Greenville S.Carolina. The only website I know of is www.ivansperformanceproducts.com which has all the info you’d need. Maybe if you pm’d Falcon, he may have some alternative info re:European distributors. Good luck :thumbup

Cheers for that - gives me some food for thought.

Are you painting or powder coating the frame covers?

They're being painted - Ford Moondust Silver.
I've also removed the Givi kit for a clean off and repaint.

When it warms up, I want to get mine powder coated satin black, along with the footpeg hangers and heel plates, which should go quite well with the black engine and swingarm....hopefully, fingers crossed.

Foot peg hangars and heel plates - they're going on the polishing wheel  :D

Nice cheap job, just a little patience needed. Do you lacquer them when you've finished the polishing?.

Be nice to have a heated garage so that spray jobs can be successfully completed in winter. I'd like to respray my bellypan as it's picked up more than its fair share of stone chips, but will have to pay someone to get it done, as the garage is far too cold.

I'm all for a heated garage now - it's amazing though, how many paint jobs arise in the winter  :lol :lol

Well I suppose it's a case of not wanting to waste riding time in the summer to get any paintwork jobs done, whereas, you save them up for the winter, when it's too cold for the paint to go off properly. :lol

This year, I'm catching up on paint jobs that were supposed to be done 2 - 3 years ago. (And I've got a 19kg gas cylinder to hepl  :lol )

Mmm, seems liked you’ve got it sorted. How do you fancy doing my belly pan for me, whilst you’ve got the gun out :lol

Plenty of good finishes have been achieved using cans. Like most things, it's all down to the boring bit.....preparation. At least you've got some heat, which is key. I suppose I could leave my bellypan until summer and rattle can it, as finding a reliable sprayer who'll take on a small job, is quite difficult in my neck of the woods.
