I rate my Octavia 1.9 tdi estate pretty highly, it's averaged just under 50mpg over the last 3000 miles or so, and that includes towing a caravan over to the east coast. It's comfy, reliable and the build quality is excellent, typically German I suppose. I'd definitely have another

So you get a golf chassis and engines. Much roomier car than a golf however.But yes it's basically a German car with a Czech body and styling.There's a good chance an Octavia will replace my ageing boring Bora when the time comes.
