Paddock stand bobbins
« on: 09 July 2016, 10:29:56 am »
I've got a 1999 fazer 600, want to put some bobbins on for the paddock stands I've just got. Anyone put them on? Is there a certain place to pu them on the swing arm or is it just a case of drill and tap?

I can make my own I just want to clarify where to put them :)?

Weld some bar to underside of the arm then drill and tap that. Not done it but wouldn't want the weight of the bike hanging on 3mm of thread
Complete fabrication, I didn't make it up!

I've drilled and tapped the swing arm. Two m6 bolts. A 8.8 6mm has about 1.6 shear capacity so a fazer isn't going to shear two m6 bolts.

Quickly turned some out of aluminium and gave them a quick polish.
