« on: 01 May 2016, 04:34:45 pm »
I need a new lid and fancy one that's quiet and with pockets for speakers I know there are loads of variables and its down to fit but wondering if there are any to avoid or try
Thanks Dave

Not cheap but the Shoei GT air ticks all the boxes, quiet, speaker pockets, sun visor, pinlock, & very comfy
They even make a headset especially for it HERE

Also not cheap is the Schuberth C3 Pro. Really quiet and comfortable helmet with speaker pockets. Built in Bluetooth SRC system also available but also not cheap. Depends on how much you want to spend really but the Schuberth C3 Pro is the best helmet I've ever had, and I've had lots over the years.
I could change my opinion, but then we'd both be wrong.

I got a C3 'basic' as they call it.
Recommended by a friend and meant to be quite but it's as noisey as my aria's that I had before but I think that's down to the screen on my fzs600 so I've been experimenting with various styles of screen and clip ons etc but as yet still to find any make a difference tbh.

The comfort is great, usability is great with the flip front, drop down dark visor, ventilation is great and it's got all the spaces for speakers etc and you can get the built in set up but as mentioned before is quite expensive (I've had the scala rider g4 & g9x fitted and no problems)
There has been a problem with the fitting of the neck collar on my helmet bit returned to the shop who have now sent it down south to get sorted, while they've been a bit slow in returning it I'm sure they'll do what's right and sort it with no hassles and I even dropped a hint to the shop that I want some freebies due to me being a very patient customer :)

I don't know if you can still get one, but the Shoei XR-1100 was recently discontinued and I got a £440 lid for £165 :)

AVG K-3 SV, various prices depending on the paint job, pin lock visor and blue tooth ready. Your best bet is to go to a shop and try on shedloads, you'll find something that fits and looks good without giving you the 'chipmunk'effect.
