:thumbup  Roll on the summer. Ferries & hotels are booked for a June Tour.
A rough outline:
Portsmouth to Caen ferry.
2 overnight stops at Flers & Niort down the west of France.
An overnighter in Pau at the foot of the Pyrenees.
Into Spain & 2 nights at Campo including a rideout to Vielha & Sort.
West to Logrono for an overnight stop.
3 nights in Cangas in a converted monastery.
2 rideout days on amazing roads in the Picos De Europain the Picos de Eu
Ferry from Santander to Portsmouth & home.
Total mileage about 2500 depending upon where in the UK you live.

I think I'm looking for someone to head off to Europe with; someone who has a bit of savvy for it, knows the cheaper options, a bit about local customs etc. Maybe stay out after they've headed home, hopefully with a bit more confidence in finding my way around it all.

Plan is to head to France to pick up on places we did not get to last time. One of these is Merlins Grave, the  rest of the Normandy Beaches, the western front and a few others places also. Going to all 5 geographical Points of Ireland NSEW&C and if time permits in the Uk also.
No other reason other than to say I/we did.

Ferry will be booked as usual at the last minute.

Mid June two of us heading down through France to 1st stop in Germany then off to Austria for a couple of days. Next stop with Friends in Eastern Slovakia for a few days with some ride outs while there.
Return route not confirmed yet but probably back to Austria via Hungary.... 15 days in all, 3-400 miles between stop off points.
Did a 7 day euro sprint by car this year, 1st stop was southern Poland after a 19hr drive....
Can't wait  :)

Europe is the plan. Either in the car with friends, or alone on the bike. Want to get to south of France as I used to live there. Head up the long way.

Interesting calling it "plans".

I have none, but all the bikes are all ready for the "fuck it, pack it and fuck off" situation - need to decide which of the three is best choice. Just bored shitless (Mrs, job etc.) - enough money for a good luxury year of travelling (and to keep paying necessaries back home) but with no plans apart from avoiding Africa and anywhere ending in "stan". Have a jog to come back to but probably no Mrs  :lol
