Had my Fz mapped, glad I was not bothered about figures lol 
The guy assured me that their dyno under reads 
It's just a picture of lines to me but he said the original map was actually fairly good, fueling was not to bad but far from perfect.
No idea how the bike feels as my journey home was in heavy crap rain

Only joking...for all i know my bike has 120...never had it tested.


I think what matters most is how it feels......im no pro graph reader either but i think that big long line indicates a smooth power delivery doesnt it?


Its a shame everyone is so scattered around the uk and dynos are few and far between because a group dyno compare session would be brilliant.

I always find it strange that dynos do not seem to be calibrated in some way, and then from that the true bhp could be worked out with built in allowances for air temp, humidity etc.
If your guy says his dyno under reads how does he know  and by how much does it under read?


I am lucky in having two dynos within 5 miles of where I live so before the winter comes I am going to have mine put on the dyno at Jordans just for a power run to see what the difference is between their dyno and the one at RaceHQ where I had my custom map done.
It will be interesting to see what the difference in dynos and air temp and humidity make.

He never said and i never asked, it was all a bit of a rush to get out and home as the weather was nasty! Although i am full of questions to ask him now after the event

PCV, smaller flies air box mod PiperX filter Akro end can and removed the cat, think thats it!

a fuelling trace would be more informative than the hp/torq figures as that is always accurate and gives the best indication of how the bike is set up.
your torq curve is full of bumps and blips rather than being a nice line (i know they smooth them out, but this one is everywhere).
next time you get it tested, tell the operator to take his foot off the brake

Next time will be somewhere else.

142bhp seems to be about the average for a semi tuned FZ1


150 is about realistic tops s brooker showed with his


Anywhere in between is fine and anywhere below id say is more like standard.


In saing that ive heard about cars leaving factories with varying BHP and so perhaps the same is with bikes.....VW apparently under value their figures and when owners dyno them it is common to see significantly higher than base figures without any mods.


See how it feels first as you might like it and in that case who cares about the figure but if you dont then perhaps try brookers map as i did and im really happy with it.......you can convert his pc3 map to a pc5 pretty easily.

Im not a great fan of dynojet systems i had mine done on both but the Dynapro system is much more accurate.
