Any building surveyers in the house.
« on: 20 May 2014, 05:53:05 pm »
My buyer had his house survey done today on my property.

My wife says he was walking about with a light beam pointing randomly at walls, standing across the road and shinning it at the front door, roof and walls.

My Mrs said it didn't look like one of those devices for measuring room dimensions.

Any idea what it's for or what he was doing?

I imagine it would, if the colder air inside was escaping it would show cooler spots same as if heat was escaping it would show warmer spots ;)

I would guess a temp device to see how much heat is radiating from the house
Its just a ride

Well, The FOC-U font of knowledge works well. Cheers for your answers.

Sounds like he can stand across the road and measure to heat loss radiating from my house.  :eek

I doubt it will be heat loss,,as inside and outside temperature are about the same this month.

Full survey. Wife said he didn't give much away apart from wanting to extend into the loft.

As an aside. Lenders survey was done yesterday and he too had the same device that he was aiming about the front door?
