Had my Fz mapped, glad I was not bothered about figures lol  The guy assured me that their dyno under reads It's just a picture of lines to me but he said the original map was actually fairly good, fueling was not to bad but far from perfect. No idea how the bike feels as my journey home was in heavy crap rain

So I have blocked off the AIS but just wondering if anything needs to be disconnected or unplugged to stop it pumping against the blocked pipe? Happy with the popping but read it needs to blocked off before dyno tuning  Did a quick search but could not find an answer.. Cheers.

Phoned my local (20 miles away ) dynojet tuner to book my Fz in to have the PCV mapped. Yep drop it of next weekend and leave it with us.... For a WEEK.....We are very busy....
Not happening so will have to travel a bit further to get it done... Anyone recommend anywhere in either Essex, Hertfordshire or Cambridge?

So my PCV should be here next week so started on a few things I want done before fitting. Gutted the cat out, easy enough and didn't take long. Modded the air box and fitted k&n, only issue is the top half of the air box lid did not seat 100% flat to the bottom. Should be ok though.... Fitted new front discs and pads yesterday too  Smaller flies to go on when they arrive, will do them at the same time as the PC. So any of you that have fitted the same filter notice the air box lid not sitting completely flat?

Me again...
So going to order my PCv tomorrow and looking at what I want to do when fitting and choosing a map to run I want to change the flies.
I am not going to try and cut mine so does anyone have any ideas who might supply them? I have searched but can't find any for sale.
Sorry probably been asked before but could not find anything.

Me again....sorry  Decided to fit my new levers and somehow lost the bush, never even saw it when I took the lever off.... Anyway I can't find them available online, have messaged the comp I got the new ones from asking if they can supply... Do any of you guys know where I can get one or have a spare

Knew I should not have started to make plans for a new PC5. ........ Anyway noticed some pitting on the front discs tonight and on closer inspection there is a fair bit on both. Measured the thickness and both are 3.8-3.9mm  Thinking about it they are not as sharp as they were when I first got it.... So started looking and new discs are not cheap, I can get a pair of unbranded for around £130 but would prefer known brand. Any suggestions from you guys where to look, thoughts or experience on unbranded types? Cheers.

Did a quick search but can't find my answer so... Fz1 PC5 is listed with two model numbers, 22-015 and 22-030. As far as I can see they are year specific, 2006-10 then 2011 to 15. What's the difference, sorry if this has been covered before

Afternoon I changed my air filter today, when I removed the box cover the flies were open, not been in there before so might be normal? Clicked the ignition on and they closed (just key)... Like I say just curious if this is normal. Oh and I think the filter was just about ready to be changed.....

Evening Looking for some CF parts for my Z1, rear light surround, side panels and a couple of other bits... Anyway been looking at maybe ordering from these guys but it's a 40 day wait.... Morning. So the bike has been fine for the short time i have owned it and nearly 1k miles i have done so far... Last used it Saturday with no problems, got it out of garage an hour or so ago, started fine, ticked over fine for few mins then after 500 yards or so of very slow riding it started to misfire.. Bliped the throttle a few times but it would not clear  So its back in my garage and i had to use the car on this beautiful day Will have a look tonight when i get home, will start with leads and plugs... Is there a common problem i should check for?? Thanks.

Got my new lift for my FZ1 today ......... looks like the wrong fitting kit was sent though It's meant to sit almost flush..... Anyone else got one of these, same problem??

Hi Guys. I now have my new bike so time to sell the 600. Very clean other than a couple of small marks i have done myself, i am 3rd owner it has genuine 10k miles lots of history runs and sounds great. New this year - Renthal bars, crash bungs heated grips (hole in left one... taped up and still works and looks ok) stubby levers, seat, twin light mod, gear indicator. Recent rear caliper rebuild, oil and filter change. Front sprocket nut is correct new type, BT023 tyres are very good, chain and sprocket too. All original parts available inc exhaust. MOT until October i think, based in Harlow Essex or can be viewed in Cambridge. Looking for 2000£ Cheers.

Hi guys. Looking to order new tyres for my Fz1 this week, the BT021's that it currently has are not great... plenty tread left but look tired... Anyway after a quick search I will probably go for some Michelin Pilot Road 3, don't need anything too sticky just a good all rounder. So can anyone point me towards the best deals for these or feel happy to recommend other brands Cheers.

So had my 600 since last October and love it but always find myself looking at what's for sale as I'm sure most of us do Anyway a 2007 FZ1 N was for sale locally, went to take a look and paid a deposit  Not even had a ride of it or any other FZ 1 Should be picking it up early next week can't wait!!

Good morning all! So i have the above on my 600, only had the bike and my licence a short while.. Anyhow the noise that i can only presume is coming from the front tyre is very loud, i have checked everything i can and am certain its the tyre (grumbly road noise not squeeks etc). It changes depending on road condition, obviously bad road - louder  I get a low tone rubbing noise when free wheeling the bike out of my garage, was never worried about it as thought its just the pads sat against disc(?)... Wheel has no wobble and spins as it should when raised.. I did a search and the BT021 was well known for this problem but cant find anything about the 23 being the same. So anyone used these, had issues or think it could be something else. Cheers.

Hi guys
Just wondering what if any of you use to store clothing gloves etc in a garage with no heating. It's not damp but far from ideal to just put things on an open shelf.
In the house is not an option and as it currently lives in the boot of my car is far from ideal.
Thoughts anyone.
