that seems a great price for that bike... I would be thinking that much for my fucked up scratcher! maybe I need to rethink... OP... if you would prefer an uglier, dirtier version of the above, let me know... mine has heated grips, a top box and some new bolts!

not sure to be honest... I got another set of clocks too thinking that could be my issue. is your rev counter, fuel gauge working? what about your odometer / trip meter??

Could it be the actual sensor that is broke, not the rotor??
also, I fucked up my speedo and clocks about a month ago, the sensor wire had got cut on the brake disc.
I had to solder the 3 wires inside it back together and it worked first time.
so maybe check there is no damage to yours??

I've been getting a few of these lately. Plus, the whole site has slowed right down, I lose PMs when trying to send, and sometimes just lose the connection entirely. Only on this site. Frustrating.
Same here, getting the message quite a bit.

I've always said police riders are some of the best on a bike, great control... nice and calm. I also like this video of the SEG riders in London... it's a bit long, but well worth viewing IMO... a bit of history to start, then the real riding goes from 4 minutes. http://youtu.be/kmZ7hhREZhI

just to answer this myself so save anyone the bother.... yes... yes you can... 3 small wires inside the cable, I've soldered them all up... and now have a fully functional speedo/odometer again...

Hi all...
well I've not figured out that my lack of speedo isn't the rotor, or sensor, or indeed the clocks themselves...
I've managed to cut the actual speedo sensor cable in half... probably caught it on the brake disc somehow...
anyway..... my question is...
Can this cable be soldered back together OK????

clean and check the brakes....I've done this recently... and what a difference it made.... never noticed how good they are! : and it felt really good to get all the winter crud and salt pish off them... plus I got to use tools! apart from that... make sure the chain is well lubed as well... and go and grind the foot pegs having fun!
