I had a gsx650f before the fazer, found the suzuki a right lump to move about, although I am a short arse!!

The fazers comfy even for me and I suffer with a knackered neck, Its smooth good on fuel, loads of fun can be ridden gently or like a holigan.

My exup valves been fine but I do service it often easy job, plus Ive used all new stainless bolts so makes removal nice and easy.

Im not sure, I thought the blue had the silver engine anyway?
Probaby sat in the showroom for 4 years  :\

After using it now for a couple of days I have some updates..

Its so so smooth now, That was my main issue with this bike originally, Amazed  :)

Hot starting is much better.

Idle is loads better.

It has much more midrange power and more top end as well, Once it hits about 7-8k hold on.

I like the sound of the airfilter   :D

Worth every penny in all honesty, Probably the best thing thats been done to the bike along with the multigauge.

Didn't think £50 quid was too bad, postage was heavy I'll agree with that.

Not the best picture as I did this with me phone but to give you some idea.
Not used the bike at nite yet so I cant give you an honest answer what they are like, but I cant see there being any issues, There clear and you can see the needles fine.

Mine done the same, I have fitted white dials now, But I used a pin, some super glue and got in underneath, Found 2 very small black washers behind the screws and used them to cover the worst of it up.

You got it mate there the ones, You get 5 gauges (mph and kph), And the white part for the lower lights.
You also get the wiring and the little inverter.
Didnt need to hack the dash panel in anyway, A little fiddly to fit, Only 2 wires that I connected to the sidelamp.(EASY)

They worked out at about £50 ish, But the postage was near near the same, Came quick though about a week.

I will take some piccys later when its dark. :b

I got these reverse style, Just the numbers light up not the complete face.

Hi Folks

Im going to have ago at the rear tail on the gen1 soon, But i have a few questions.

I cannot see how the rear mud guard is attached to the undertray without removing it.

I understand it needs some work to do this and I can get a second hand rear undertray without the rear mudguard, Will this be of any use? As i dont want to hack my original up incase all goes pear shaped  :(   Knowing me with plastic this is possible.

Thanks Lee

I didnt want overspray over anything, Rather spend some time masking off rather than spend days cleaning the overspray off.

I bought me a fazer weekend fzs 1000 gen 1, Very tidy with low miles, Had the ex-up valve issue that I have sorted reading through the tips here  :) .

The only thing I would like is to tidy the engine cases up, there is some corrosion coming through on all 3 covers, I was wondering if I could get the R&G ones to fit for the R1? I cant see a set for the fzs anywhere.

It might stop them getting any worse if i can adapt something without looking botchy.

Any other sugestions would be good as well, Have toched in some of these but cannot get any paint to match atall so wiped it off.

Thanks for help
