I've got a French import FZS1000 with EU lights. This has 5868 stamped on the reflectors.
Looking to do a reflector swap to convert to UK specification. Managed to find another headlight from a breaker from a 'UK' bike, however it's turned up and is also a European specification with 5868 reflectors!! :wall
A couple of people contacted me before about swapping but I was reluctant to part with my headlight via post. But now I have a spare it would be much easier.
My spare headlamp does have one lug snapped off so happy to just do the reflectors. I believe I need P1191 for UK if anyone can confirm?

I've got an EU spec headlight unit fitted to my Gen1 thanks to Flitwick MCs ordering the wrong part after an accident. The kick-up on dipped beam is quite small, so I kept it rather than wait for a replacement. It's since passed a couple of MOTs without problems, so I wouldn't worry too much if you can't get a UK spec unit.
For info the US spec headlight unit has no kick-up on dipped beam, so would be OK.. if you could find one!

Cheers BMCfaz,
I had a pernickety MOT tester who didn’t like it but now take it elsewhere. Not a major issue but I like things to be correct. Probably care too much.
If anyone out there has a spare 5 minutes, perhaps they could confirm the numbering on the UK reflectors? 5868 is on my French light and my spare!

UK part no. is: 5LV-84310-10. It's the 10 at the end that denotes UK spec. That's for the whole unit, the reflectors were never available on their own.

Thanks. The trouble is they don’t print that number on the light assembly so I can only identify reflectors by the number printed on them.

Yes P1191 is the UK headlight and I have a set reflectors.
I will send them to you and if you are happy with them send me that Spare headlight with the broken mount..

Dropped you a PM unfazed.
