Title: Bagster tank cover for 2002 FZS 600 fox eye
Post by: the lodger on 29 December 2016, 05:24:57 pm
I am selling a Bagster tank cover I bought off eBay for my Fazer . Unfortunately it doesn't fit my year 2000 box eye as it was removed from a year 2002 fox eye , which has a different shaped tank so it will not fit mine.

The strange thing is that the cover is  red/black/silver ; the same as my bike's tank , which is why I thought it would fit.

The cover is in good condition but for one clip which is broken. I have a new clip , which will be supplied . I think this would be an easy fix for someone handy ( not me then ! ).

pm me if you want some pictures

Looking for £30 to include p&p.

I made exactly the same mistake, i bought a bag taken off a 2003 bike for my 2000.
But IT DOES FIT.
I know that it really looks like it won't, but once the sides are all pulled down it fits okay.

Thanks for the reply. You are right !  What has happened is that the cover has been fitted to a foxeye, which I think may have a bigger tank than a boxeye so it has stretched the cover a little. I am hopeful that over time I will be able to pull it tight to my tank.

cheers and thanks again. The cover is no longer for sale

It does mate, once it's secured tightly and gets a bit of rain on it it tends to settle down okay then just needs tightening again.
First impressions look like it doesn't fit at all.  :thumbup
