WANTED: FZS1000 Fazer 1000
« on: 29 November 2016, 02:29:51 pm »
Hi all,

Have been lurking around for the past couple of months after deciding to swap my VFR for a Fazer and with the VFR selling this week I'm finally in a position to jump ship.

I'm considering any examples of FZS1000 though the more sorted mod wise the better as I'll only likely be looking to do most of them at some point anyway. Lower mileage also better but again will consider most things. I did have a persuasion towards black frame/black engine models but once again for the right bike at the right price I'd consider other.

I had been in contact with a couple of members with some lovely examples but unfortunately the VFR sale left me slightly under budget so realistically I'm looking to spend as little as possible and certainly under £2000 at the moment, so if you have any Christmas bargains to go again let me know!

Thanks in advance, hopefully I'll be joining the fold soon!

2002 model on ebay for £1595 in red with just under 24k on the clock. Looks in nice condition for the money.
I could change my opinion, but then we'd both be wrong.

Thanks Grayo, did see that! Is it yours? I was a little put off by it being a cat D but then I guess that's reflected in the price.

Ah, I didn't notice it was a Cat D. No, it's not mine. Just thought it looked like a nice bike for the money.
I could change my opinion, but then we'd both be wrong.

A different model altogether in fact, the gen one and two are totally different bikes. I had a vfr before the gen one I've got now mate, bloody great little bike but you find the fazer much better in every department...:-)

You still looking? May need to trade mine in as my road bike needs are changing - would be very much at the top end / a bit over your 2,000 budget. Not including the top box.

Cheers

Markie.

Jonny

It's one of Luke's / Devilsyam builds,
53 plate, 39,500 (ish) miles,
MOT until September 2017 (no advisories on the last one),
Powder coated frame and wheels,
The paint is in really nice condition and kind of sparkles a bit in sun light,
Tony Archer custom seat (REALLY comfortable),
R6 rear shock,
Rental handle bars
rear hugger,
Tinted double bubble screen,
The side panels and hugger have been carbon dipped,
Pazzo style adjustable levers (not Pazzo but gives good idea of them)
LEDs in the indicator and Neutral tell-tale lights
Belly pan and front mudguard extender in same paint
Currently got stock mirrors on but happy to swap back for bar end Ines (as per photo) if you prefer
Unfortunately no service history. Did an oil/filter change at 36k so will need another in ~500 miles
I can leave the Givi arms on, but top box and plate will be taken off
Think that's all but probably forgotten some things!

Had it about a year and it's been great, runs beautifully and not missed a beat, but need something more 2-up toury - FJR1300 or some such.

£2,400

I'm in Fleet, Hampshire.

If interested let's take it to PM as others can then seee the description in case it's not for you.

Edit: I put the gearing back to stock as the front was lifting too much two-up, so got a very low use +3 rear sprocket to go with it.
Edit 2: oh yes, braided brake lines front and back, carbon dipped radiator side covers, laser cut metal radiator protector.

Cheers

Markie
