Which replacement end can???
« on: 31 January 2014, 04:39:24 pm »
Hi all,
Im looking for a replacement end can but finding it hard to decide  :\
Price aint an issue but sound it! Standard sounds a little quiet for me, front pipes are standard and in excellent condition so wont be changing them. Oh, needs to have removable baffle  :D
What do you think of Scorpion? Its about the only one that sounds okay but heard it on Youtube  :rolleyes
Any ideas??
Cheers,
Steve.

Had a scorpion oval titanium on my bandit. Quite loud with no baffle, much better with it in.
Stop polishing it and ride the bloody thing!!

It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

I have a Quill on my bike, albeit an older one, and I really like it.
It has a non offensive deep rumble at low revs, which is great around side streets, but if you give it a bit of welly it soon changes tune.

Here's a pic of my bike to show you the general size, slightly shorter than the standard can and much lighter:

The can is lovely with the baffle in and big grin when it's out! haha

I bought it straight from the blueflame website.

The best end can I ever had on my 600 was an O'Shiro titanium race can, sounded far better than any thing else I tried. Nice deep rumble and bark but at lower revs it gave the bike a nice unoffensive rumble and yet a quick blip of the throttle produced a menacing growl. I think Madmondeoman has it now.

Got the Motad Venom can on mine. Decent enough, nice sound, but with baffle no louder the stock yammy. Even with baffle removed it's only a little bit louder. Certainly won't stand out (or get you any attention from cops).

Its very difficult unless you can hear for yourself. Stock pipe is so smooth and quiet...
Opted for the Blue Flame and not bad at 150 delivered.
Really appreciate your help! Must Fazers I come across are standard like mine so dont get to hear a decent sounding can!

Do the blue flame exhausts come with a linker pipe or do you have to use the stock one? And what about the hanger for it?

My stock one is scratched to hell, time for a replacement.

The one I bought from the blueflame website came with a link pipe and the strap hanger from the foot peg.

The standard can and link pipe can't be separated.

They have quite a few for the Fazer on the Blueflame site, is it this one, the cheapest of them all?

Yep, that's the one! Came this afternoon so set about fitting it........ All done in 20 mins and sounds really nice with and without baffle. Thought it would look too small as opposed to standard but it looks great! Money well spent and you don't even have to buy a new gasket, it doesn't use one..
Will add a picture tomorrow.
Cheers for all your suggestions!
