A few years ago I changed jobs to one that didn't come with a company car and bought myself a shiny second hand Golf GTI for getting to and from work in. Exactly one week after starting the job I stopped at some traffic lights quite quickly. The 7.5T truck behind me stopped (just) and the little Bedford Midi van behind him didn't. Result was that the Midi was demolished, the truck was scratched and my car had the rear panels stoved in.

On close inspection the Midi had tyres that were moulded using a very shiny head as a mould. Absolutely no tread visible. I cant recall who pointed this out to plod when they arrived  :whip

I hope he had his Porsche crushed and bollocks removed.

I know that road and even 60mph is dangerous. I used to be a 40mph road until a year or three back but got reduced as 40mph was an issue still for some people.

Gnasher/Deefer

I am more than capable of bleeding brakes and taking on most tasks mechanical or electrical having had a 4 year apprenticeship in doing these things but even I had to go and ask for help when I fitted braided hoses to a bike a few years back because no matter what I did they didn't want to bleed using all the normal processes I had learnt over the years.

I do agree thought that some people shouldn't give advise :pokefun

Watch the video again.

He was under 70mph before he passed the car on the nearside. He may have crept over 70 but not much more than 75mph. Plod accelerated hard to catch up because he thought the bike may go for it when given space.
When the bike went to pull in front of the truck, the truck was aware he was going there and slowed a little to allow it. You can see the biker wave his thanks.
When he then went from in front of the truck to the petrol station you can see the bike remain in the middle lane for a second to check it was clear.

Nothing he did was really dangerous or stupid apart from declining the FPN for an unknown offence. HE certainly wasn't speeding to the point a ticket was required and wasn't careless if you watch the video again.

Just the courts with a dim view of bikes and a plod who woke up in the wrong bed.

close nipples and leave the reservoir cap loose overnight with the brake lever bungee strapped to bars.
In the morning it should bleed fine.

There was an element of that Rich. Cant recall which warning/instrument/fire handle combination was at fault but I was with BA at the time and had a few aircraft to check as a result.

That could happen anywhere Nick. Well, anywhere where the pilots shut down the wrong engine. Kegworth is in England and something similar happened there a few years ago.

K&N on the FZS600 makes a big difference to the smoothness through the rev range. Couple it with a carb balance and you will not regret it.

The referee helped the Welsh as much as he could in the first half before getting a bollocking at half time for making it so obvious. 2nd half seemed like a different ref.
