Suddenly, I'm struggling to get photos uploaded again.
I resize them ok seemingly, to a more manageable file size. But photobucket keeps uploading the original file size.
I've tried loading them to the site using additional options, but it seems to take ages to do anything, and then the page expires before getting a result, as if it were trying to upload too much (this happens with only one photo too).
One that I resized yesterday was back at original size today, so maybe it's my photo manager software playing up?
Any ideas anyone?

I don't have access to a PC for a while so can't reproduce this. Can anyone else look at Photobucket to see what's going on.
-
working fine for me. Nick. do you have a max photo size set in photobucket? mines automatically resizes all my pics to 800x600, which is about big enough for all forums?

I was resizing them ok on the computer, but I'm using a different computer now Mick, and it didn't seem to work, so yeah, then I noticed that photobucket can upload to what size you want, so have now done that. So got a couple of pics successfully posted that way, but by god, it takes ages on this computer.
Photobucket generally seems a lot slower now too - need to get a new pooter instead of using people's hand-me-downs really :rolleyes

photobucket wont be slow because of your computer buddy, it will likely either be your internet connection, ot photobucket itself (which is woefully slow at times!).
Flickr is a much better and quicker alternative, but sharing pictures from it is not as clean and is much more involved.

Photo-oh-fukit i call it.
Not been using it long but takes ages.

Photobucket changed their site so that it required a more up to date browser than my ancient computer could run, so I switched to using PostImage (http://postimg.org/) which does everything I want.
Having said that, I always resize images first rather than upload 7 megapixels and let the hosting site reduce it to a half megapixel image (but on a Mac that's easy :D ).

See what it's like tonight:

Well, preview looks ok, so let's post it.

Hmmm, looks like it was probably photobucket then - seems a bit quicker tonight too.

I use Tinypics - never had any trouble, quick and easy to use, with lots of size option when you upload.
