« on: 06 January 2022, 01:52:42 pm »
Hi
I have a couple of scotoilers for sale (its the main reservoirs - the most expensive bits) for £15 a pop and one whole scotoiler box (with I think practically everything in it, except the oil bottle) for £60 and a dual injector £15, unopened in the packaging.

Can be collected from HA4.

Drop me an email at velotipo@gmail.com, if interested as I can never seem to post pictures

Scotoiler and bits sold, just the visors now, which I am guessing are not worth a lot as I find think any new Arai uses them!

I wasn't quite planning upon giving up now, but was wondering as to when I may just hang up my boots. I have tried a couple of times in the past, but for some reason don't like being without a bike

 :)

I will be 50. I wanted to get a thou as a sort of b'day present, but that's on hold now, given the insurance premiums etc till at least June.

I was curious about the age as I wondered when do you give up?

I am passing another significant birthday this year, but am wondering at what age would you consider giving up biking - or when does it become too difficult?

Thirded on the harpic or wonder wheels.  Oven cleaner works as well.

There is also something about it being a contract of faith or something, which means you are expected to tell them everything.

I am confused about the speed awareness courses as I don't believe they are registered in a central database but I could be wrong.

Looks like I am out, a second bike is costing me over £150 more a year.

I thought it would around £50 more.  Bennetts quoted me £300 for a 125 and a fazer thousand. For what maybe only a few hundred miles a year, I may as well use the 125, till I really need a pillion bike.

That 100 mile commute is amazing. I try and commute 2x week, 34mile RT but to be honest its awful. Its basically filtering all the way into London and I dont particularly enjoy it.

I keep thinking I will have a quick dash somewhere, but finding the time and ideal day is next to impossible with 2 young kids and a whole lot of grass cutting!

I struggle to find time to ride and then also if I did have time its a pain to get out anywhere useful.

How do you all find the time to ride and where do you go?

I have been thinking and I may just get a fix and scratch the itch. Just have to wait for the right bike at the right price.  Nordboy's deal was a belter!

Dealt with them once and returns were fine.  However personally worry about buying a helmet as you never know if it's been returned after being mishandled.  The same risk may also apply to a shop helmet but I always thought that shops did not accept helmet returns.

Thanks all.  I have owned a fazer6 and a couple of pre vtech 800.  What attracts to the vfr8 is that lovely burble and top end scream.  I am also not too keen to have too much of a sit up position due to back issues. The other option is the foxeye 600 which I also had.

Guess it depends what's available really and at what price.

I bought these a few years ago and have worn the once in the house. Recent weight loss means they are too big.

Comes with knee and shin armour, hip padding and new sliders. Also has that 2 zip facility on the legs so can have the trousers inside or outside the boots.

Cost something silly asking for £160 Ono, collection from Central or NW London.

Size 54 is about a 36 waist.

I don't think the pics have worked but if you send me a pm with an email address I can send them over.
