Wanted Gen 1 Front offside calliper - Testing the water
« on: 16 June 2020, 04:37:11 pm »

In anticipation of my local bike shop making a mess of my front offside calliper trying to get a snapped bleed nipple out. Has anyone got one knocking about they would like to sell? The closer to Stoke the better really so I can drive and pick it up.

Ok well I have a set calipers in reasonable-good condition, but the reason they are spare is 6 of the 8 pistons have corrosion/pitting that is either right on the edge of the piston or further down along where brake seal, seals against. But as you already have a set of calipers you should be able to make up a working set of calipers & pistons.

Unfortunately I am no where near Stoke, so they would have to be posted. Drop me a PM and I will take some pics for you etc.

Actually, I've just called the shop and they have managed to get the nipple out!

Thanks for the offer though.
