Post by: slappy on 27 January 2018, 08:04:28 pm
I have been given two cans of Wurth dry chain lube by a workmate, anybody on here used it and been happy with it?

I've been using it for years now, as a spray it really is one of the best around. Although every now and then i use a paint brush with some fresh engine oil which most certainly gets in places quicker and better than anything, but can result in severe verbal abuse when you transfer it to your carpet indoors innocently/unknowingly.

It’s the best I’ve found in over 30 years of riding. Very minimal fling and my chains have always lasted for ages.
Then again I do have a bad OCD for keeping my chain clean and lubed.  :lol

Take the bike for a spin first, it works best with a warm chain.

As said put it on after a ride when the chain is warm and that helps.
There is some fling on the first couple of rides but I think its only the extra amount that I did not need to put on
First ride fling

Naebody use a Scottoiler?

18,000 miles on ma chain, and hopefully it'll do another 18-20,000.

A heat gun works pretty good too.

It's a bit pricey for me to be honest I don't think it's 'wurth' the extra cost.
